DOT Federal Credit Union of Poughkeepsie, New York won NAFCU's "Best of Show" for a Web site under $150 million in assets. The new Web site was designed to enhance the credit union's presence online by providing up-to-date product and rate information as well as the latest news. In creating the layout of the site, it was important to develop a site that efficiently utilized space, was easy to navigate through and provided relevant links and tools. The goal for site was to create an online extension of the branch and provide the most information possible for the convenience of members. Having only one branch location often means DOT is not able to come in contact with a large portion of their membership. Having the online channel is extremely important in being able to communicate information to members living far away.
