Junior Graphic/Web Designer

SmartSource, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Corporate America Credit Union, is a leading web development firm specializing in credit union web design, development, and hosting. We are known for our great work, good people, and exceptional support with over a 20-year history.

Responsibilities and Duties

As a qualified candidate, you will be responsible for updating and maintaining website content and graphics, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and best practices, optimizing for user experience, accessibility, and search engines. This position will also assist the department with website design mockups. The ideal candidate is willing to learn on the job and is passionate about website design and development.

As an employee, you will work from home. As a telecommuting employee, you will need the initiative, personality, and focus that a remote position requires.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree, 2-Year degree, or web/graphic design program/certification preferred but not required.
  • Excellent design skills related to layout, fonts, and colors.
  • Experience in general web layout and design, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Acrobat.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS, familiarity with JavaScript and other web technologies a bonus.
  • Knowledge of current web browsers including IE/Edge, Firefox, and Google Chrome.
  • Excellent internal and external communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, and work on multiple project timelines simultaneously.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues independently.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Type:

  • Full-time Hourly Position

Pay:

  • Hourly, equivalent to $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Experience:

  • Graphic/Web design: 1 year (Preferred)
  • CSS: 1 year (Preferred)
  • HTML/HTML5: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Work Location: Remote
